About Plainscript
We explain what 21 GLP-1 programmes are actually dispensing, and what the paperwork means.
Why this site exists
Because the single most important fact about a cheap GLP-1 prescription — that it is a compounded preparation rather than an FDA-approved drug — is the one most likely to be glossed over. Not hidden, usually. Just written small, late, and in language designed not to alarm.
We do not think compounded medication is inherently bad. We think people are entitled to know which category they are buying from, what that means for oversight, and what changed when the FDA moved again in 2026.
How we work
- Prices come from published sources and are verified by hand. Last checked 2026-09-18.
- We state the regulatory category of every product we describe, every time.
- Scores are computed from the rubric on how we rate, which includes pharmacy sourcing as a weighted criterion.
What we are not
We are not a pharmacy, a telehealth service or a medical practice. We do not prescribe or dispense. Nothing here is medical advice or a substitute for the counselling a pharmacist or prescriber gives you. Our explainers describe what is generally true; your own prescriber’s instructions take priority, and these drugs carry contraindications and interactions that a short questionnaire will not always catch.
We also publish no invented reviews — no fabricated patient quotes, no star ratings dressed up as research we never did.
