Who pays for this

A publication that explains prescriptions has a particular obligation to be straight about its own incentives.

The arrangement

What it does not change

• The rubric, published on how we rate and applied identically — the score table there is printed in true score order, not our display order.
• How we describe the product. Our partner dispenses compounded medication and we say so on every page, including the ones that recommend it.
• The drawbacks section, which appears in our partner’s reviews exactly as it does in everyone else’s.

What we never take money for

• A changed score, or the deletion of a better-scoring rival.
• Removing a negative finding.
• Copy written or approved by a company we review.
• Softening how we describe what is being dispensed.

Why we spell it out

The FTC requires clear disclosure of material connections. Beyond that, people read this site while deciding what medication to put in their body, and they are entitled to know who benefits from the recommendation.
