Tirzepatide
Sold as Zepbound and Mounjaro by Eli Lilly. A single weekly injection that activates two gut hormone receptors, GIP and GLP-1, rather than one.
Semaglutide
Sold as Wegovy and Ozempic by Novo Nordisk. A weekly injection that activates the GLP-1 receptor, slowing stomach emptying and reducing appetite signalling.
